Job Purpose


This is a pivotal global reaching role with strong exposure to the senior leadership team. You will be responsible for a key strategic transformation programme aimed at centralizing call answering globally (across c2,500 centres) and delivering an enhanced digital service proposition.

*** Please note: This role is a 9 month contract position. 

Key Responsibilities


  • The management of and successful execution of large, high-profile multi-million pound transformation programmes that span across multiple business areas.  
  • Working in collaboration with project sponsors and key stakeholders within the business to ensure shared ownership for the delivery of programme outcomes.
  • Leading multiple complex cross-functional changes into the organisation through the application of 'best in class' programme and change management.
  • Establishing and sustaining an effective governance framework to ensure the appropriate level of oversight and control is in place across all projects/workstreams.
  • Ensuring that realistic and accurate estimates of costs, timescales, quality and resource requirements are agreed and proactively manages any deviations through to project closure.
  • Experience in value assessment, business case development, procurement practices, budgeting, resource allocation and risk assessment.
  • Produces effective, to the point progress reports and communication mechanisms to keep senior leadership appraised of the status, major risks and issues, scope changes, budgets, headcount and milestone achievements/misses.
  • Develop and enact a structured approach to organisational change , overcoming resistance to change from the impacted people.
  • Ensures supplier performance is monitored and actions taken if performance warrants.


Key Skills and experience

  • Experience of complex cross functional global transformation programmes within a comparable organisation or via a consulting firm.
  • Strong e-commerce / Telco implementation experience essential.
  • Experience in setting up global call centre teams and the supporting technologies, porting of telephony between providers and migration activities.
  • Experience of implementing projects within multi-million pound transformational programmes in latest technologies e.g. Telephony, Call Center enablement, Oracle, SAP, SAAS integrations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage teams (including offshore), stakeholders at the appropriate level to enable technical discussions with SMEs/3rd parties to articulate design solutions/requirements.
  • Expert knowledge of financial forecasting and budget management, project reporting, MS office.
  • Project Methodology qualification is desirable (Prince 2, PMP, MSP, Agile Certifications or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication skills required to negotiate internally, at a senior level.
  • Proven ability to think beyond immediate area of responsibility, requiring business awareness, critical analysis and integration of information, ability to bridge “old and new” ways of working and to develop action-oriented results focused plans.
