The Role

We are looking for a dedicated, self-motivated, and experienced Automation QA Engineer with strong Functional Testing experience.

The role involves working closely with other QA Test Analysts and Developers as part of a team/s within a software delivery department. The successful candidate will have a drive and passion to really get under the skin of the product and help build best quality software.

What you’ll need to succeed

This role ideally suits someone with extensive experience managing cross functional and POD structured teams. Experience in working in a ‘high traffic’ environment such as e-commerce or alternatively within a consultancy.

You should be comfortable operating autonomously and have experience with writing application automation scripts, test plans and be well versed in CICD pipeline and Azure DevOps

You’ll also be able to work as part of the project delivery team and build internal relationships with the functional and technical delivery teams for guidance and knowledge transfer of new features.

Responsibilities:

• Building and Maintaining Automated acceptance test using Selenium (C#) and other automation tools.
• Performance testing using JMeter.
• Develop API test using Rest API
• Build test frameworks from scratch.
• Working in Agile teams with key stake holders to develop test plan and test scripts.
• Ability to see a feature through to completion which includes close collaboration with different stakeholders from the project.
• Work as an effective member of the Test and Delivery team - understanding and contributing to the testing process, taking ownership from concept to production.
• Own quality – all aspects of testing and championing the Test Strategy and Vision
• Derive appropriate, comprehensive tests from requirements/ user story acceptance criteria and input from Business Analysts
• Develop, execute, and maintain tests for moderate to complex areas of the systems.
• Identify requirements defects and work with your team to resolve them.
• Stay up to date on general knowledge of Regus Systems and high-level software architecture

Qualifications/Skills /Experience:

• Strong educational background, BSc (Computer Science or related) required.
• Have some technical skills, both functional and non-functional, manual and automation, ideally in a continuous delivery environment (Selenium, JMeter, API tools and Database knowledge is desirable)
• English language - excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills is a must.
• Strong working knowledge of relevant Office applications, (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).  Experience of Jira and advantage.
• Ability to build confidence with stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable resolution and support KPI’s.
• Excellent troubleshooting /problem solving skills.
• Excellent communicator with the ability to understand and prioritise issues into actionable resolutions.
• Must be able to report on test activities.
• Must be good with e2e testing and able to work across multiple systems and platforms.
• Strong testing and QA fundamentals
• Ability to coach and mentor.
• Azure DevOps CI/CD pipeline
• Excellent analytical and technical problem-solving skills with a pro-active approach
• A strong sense of good practice with respect to testing techniques

Essential:

• Strong background in testing with the ability to plan, design, script and execute test cases and its automation.
• Good understanding of Jira testcase management.
• Hands-on experience in test automation using Selenium WebDriver with C#.
• Proven experience writing Selenium scripts and developing scripts using C# and Java script.
• Experience of testing transactional systems, web technology & operational systems
• Performance testing – Jmeter
• Rest API
• Postman and SOAP UI for API testing.
• ISEB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing
