The role

As a highly autonomous Project Manager, you will be able to demonstrate your project management and team leadership skills to help drive large global high capital investment projects through inception, implementation, and completion. You must have the ability to interact with all levels of the organisation, have strong communication, coupled with a proven project management experience. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct the delivery of complex, cross-functional IT projects and/or programmes that deliver on organisational strategic objectives in alignment with the guidelines of the Project Management Office.
  • Understand the strategic objectives of the business Functional Areas and translate into project objectives, scope and plans.
  • Develop solutions and execution strategies in complicated situations.
  • Implement project governance, risk controls and financial management processes.
  • Demonstrate use of and suggest improvements to current governance process, while reinforcing its usage across the department.
  • Manage communication with client and stakeholders.
  • Ensure that the project operates within the approved budget and timeline.
  • Provide clear concise information and regular status input into the weekly, monthly & quarterly board reports in relation to overall implementation process, missed milestones, adjusted timelines.
  • Collecting and analysing submitted project data and identify potential risks, and issues. 
  • Liaise with partners to ensure that partner-led projects are maintaining standards and meeting delivery targets.
  • Implementing directions of management.

 

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Delivered multiple Accounting and Finance systems related implementations and / or multiple enhancement projects 
  • Experience in delivering change in any / many of these areas: Accounts Receivable; Cash Allocation; Collections; Purchase order to Accounts Payable; General Ledger; Financial Consolidation; Regulatory Reporting change.
  • 5+ years experience working on Finance / Accounting systems projects (implementation or systems change and improvement projects)
  • Ability to handle up to 20 small / medium requests and projects at any point in time, and confidently schedule / reschedule to ensure efficiency across teams (business requirements analysts, developer teams, testers, etc.)
  • Strong accounting business and IT background (either having worked in the Finance / Accounting function, or across a number of projects to gain experience in finance and accounting processes.
  • Whilst a formal professional qualification within Project / Programme Management, PMI or Prince 2 or similar Project Management certification is highly valued, a minimum of 10 years of demonstrable successful IT Project Management experience is an essential requirement
  • Astute attention to detail with accuracy.
  • Multi-tasking across multiple projects.
  • Coordination of project teams by providing direction, input and feedback.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to navigate and influence a global team.
  • Expert knowledge in the MS Office suite of products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project.
  • Familiarity with MS Project and Project Online enterprise program and project management toolset is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of IT releases and change management.
  • Ability to communicate to individuals on all levels, internally and externally and especially a C-level
  • Excellent written and verbal English abilities. 
  • Knowledge of JIRA and/or DevOps advantageous.
