PH Senior Tax and Compliance Analyst II


Job purpose

  • Candidate will be part of the Tax Compliance Tower and would be responsible for the overall Tax & Compliance Obligations of all Regus / IWG Philippine entities including but not limited to reviewing and ensuring timely & accurate filing of Tax Returns; warranting adherence to all compliance requirements; handling national and local tax audits; managing ad hoc tax-related queries or projects; and supporting the wider Tax Reporting and Compliance team as a Subject Matter Expert.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Ensures accurate tax computation and prompt filing of documents as mandated by Government Authorities on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis (ie CIT, VAT, DST, WHT, Other Taxes) as well as during an audit
  • Ensure all monthly, semestral, and/or annual and compliance requirements of all Regus / IWG Philippine entities are timely filed/complied (i.e. submission of books of accounts, semestral list of regular suppliers/lessees, secure authority to print/computerized books of accounts permit, submission of RFC/TTRA, and others)
  • Ensure that all Regus / IWG Philippine entities are equipped in addressing tax mapping visits both from the tax authorities and local government units
  • Address and manage tax notices and assessments, including robust document and schedule preparation, and propriety assessment of the findings
  • Spearhead tax refunds, including monitoring and managing previous years’ tax refund claims, assessing compliance with refund requirements, and closely coordinating with external advisors for timely filing of tax refunds
  • Address and manage ad hoc tax-related queries or projects, including but not limited to approval of customer tax exemption requests, and other tax escalation matters
  • Draft reply/protest letters for review of Tax Reporting and Compliance Manager before submission to the BIR/LGU 
  • Highlight identified tax compliance risks or assist Tax Reporting and Compliance team in evaluating internal processes to ensure full compliance with the tax laws, rules and regulations
  • Highlight improvement areas from the Tax Audit that need to be translated into the end-to-end process flow of Tax Return preparation and filing
  • Assess existing engagement with Tax Advisors and make necessary recommendations to improve existing delivery, both in the preparation and review of Tax Returns and meeting PHL compliance obligations.
  • Monitor and ensure that local business permit renewals of all Regus / IWG Philippine entities are processed, including certification renewals and timely payment of local business taxes
  • Manage transfer pricing requirements in conjunction with the Group Transfer Pricing Manager
  • Keep abreast of relevant tax regulatory changes and ensure that these are cascaded to the Tax Reporting and Compliance teams
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the Tax Reporting and Compliance Managers/Director


  • CPA License is an advantage
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in Philippine taxation either in Big 4 or MNC
  • Preferably experience across all taxes
  • High integrity and commitment to work
  • Cross functional collaboration and team player
  • Familiarity with accounting software
  • Dynamic, hands-on, proactive self-starter, high ownership and resilient
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with proven ability to communicate across all levels within the organization and with external parties
