Project Manager - Sales & Marketing Delivery

About IWG

We’re changing the world of work. We believe that business success is underpinned by the effectiveness of its people. So, we made it our mission to help millions of people have a great day at work – every day. With locations in practically every country, city, town and transport hub, and options ranging from an hour’s coworking to multi-year office space leases, we enable people and businesses to work where, when, and how they want.

Technology in IWG

We’re focused on delivering seamless digital propositions which allow customers to instantly manage their requirements and position IWG as the “Digital First” workspace provider. As early adopters of the latest technologies - whether it be Artificial Intelligence, Office IoT, Data or Cloud Solutions - we create business value and are constantly striving to find new and improved ways to help our customers. Which is why we’re always on the look-out for intelligent, energetic, self-motivated, and curious individuals. We want to bring about a global workspace revolution and want you to help.

The role

The role is for a Project Manager who has a Digital, Sales and Marketing background. The Project Manager is responsible for the management of projects in the Sales & Marketing business domain, including the delivery of any IT changes and/or components within that project.  This includes (but not limited to) CRM (MS Dynamics), Call Centre Technologies, Sales Platforms/Applications and all IWG Customer Websites and Applications (across all IWG Brands).

What you’ll need to succeed

We are seeking a mid-level experienced project manager with a background in sales & marketing.

While initially responsible to deliver small enhancements for our sales & marketing teams, the PM will start to support some major transformations with various projects and initiatives.

The PM will concurrently own the delivery of several requests and enhancements at any point of time and would need to demonstrate experience in running with multiple small projects / initiatives together.

It will be an advantage to have worked on multi-faceted CRM applications’ projects for a global business, and if you have Microsoft Dynamics CRM experience (in various roles) then you are likely the person that we are looking forward to meeting with. Additionally - there may be projects/large change programmes across other parts of Sales and Marketing (Customer and Staff Websites, Applications and In-house developed Software).

This person should be experienced in partnering with senior internal stakeholders and rolling out a roadmap and possess an understanding of business process alongside technical knowledge. They will be proactive and take accountability, and adept at communicating their thinking to all levels of the business, from CIO down.

They’ll anticipate business challenges and requirements, be creative in providing tailored solutions, and engage key stakeholders and team members along the way. They’ll be clear on what a ‘great’ outcome looks like, and tireless in delivering that for the business.

Role and responsibilities

  • Responsible for scoping projects and requests, defining budget to be approved, and having a clear project plan to deliver and communicate deadlines to all departments.
  • Applying appropriate project management standards depending on the nature of each project.
  • Manage and deliver multiple projects in parallel, from start to completion.
  • Ensure programme and project objectives and performance metrics are clear, and a detailed roadmap or project plan (as required) are in place to deliver these.
  • Responsible for organizing and leading project team and project governance team meetings.

  • Experience using JIRA and Microsoft Project tools
  • Extensive IT project experience (Software, Mobile and/or App Development)
  • Experience working in hybrid, distributed and virtual teams
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent English communication and executive level presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to develop strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Good commercial understanding of how to minimise costs/effort whilst delivering risk acceptable and robust solutions.
  • Interpersonal skills and developing relationships with team members and customers.
  • Organizational, analytical, problem-solving and time management skills

This is a delivery focused role. However, while delivering on time, on budget and to the right quality are core to every project/initiative, we always set out to take it a step further and “understand the content” and deliver solutions. This is core to our culture and approach (to understand, to challenge to push and make things better for our company and our customers).

In order to do that, we expect all team members to have a solid understanding of the IWG business, products, services, processes, people and our customers. This takes time and effort to achieve and it’s never ending (as we are always evolving and improving). Team members who have this knowledge and understanding can deliver solutions, better results, and collaborate with other team members more effectively.

Our culture is to embrace Hybrid Working and Remote Teams - this is nothing new to IWG and we have been enabling flexible working for our teams and customers since the company was created.

We are a multi-cultural environment spanning several management and digital delivery centres around the world (working together with our partners who are equally distributed). Operationally, we span a lot of countries (over 120), different people, different approaches – all linked to the common goal of getting our targets realised and doing it in the best way possible.

A results-based role, you and your manager will jointly define a clear set of KPIs along with the mechanisms to monitor those. Initial definitions of KPIs to be refined and agreed with the successful candidate are:

  • Managed project to scope
  • Maintained an up to date, accurate and realistic project plan
  • Maintained up to date project artefacts and reporting
  • Delivered clear expectations for all relevant parties across the project
  • Held people/teams accountable for their deliverables (or actions in the delivery plan)
  • Maintained clear communication during the project (as needed/in the relevant forums)
  • Managed any change requests, risks and issues successfully
  • Delivered on time and on budget (providing progress reports along the way)
  • Delivered to the quality expectations (exceeding targets where possible)
  • Understood the content of the project and demonstrated the ability to lead delivery of the solution (not just meeting delivery dates and tasks)
