The role

The role is ultimately responsible for ensuring that IWG network infrastructure is designed and implemented following security industry best practices. The person in role will oversee the highest standards of delivery and execution, ensuring the correct processes around network security are defined and followed, implementing new tools to ensure IWG global infrastructure is compliant with the security policies defined. In addition, taking care of critical security incidents, proactively be looking for improvements in processes and technical operational procedures that will decrease IT risks and downtimes, and taking the lead implementing strategic network security projects globally.

What you’ll need to succeed

We are seeking someone who combines a track record in defining the appropriated framework and governance models in network security for global companies, with expertise in implementing network security audit tools, running risk assessments and recommending remediation plans.

You will need to be proactive and take accountability, having an analytical mindset to identify current gaps and pain points and convert them into improvement actions, always looking to have a continuous service improvement way of thinking, operating at the heart of our Global IT team and playing a leading role in delivering a first-class digital experience for IWG and our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Works as the single point of contact for network security incidents and projects, working closely with IWG service providers towards resolution.
• Define IWG network security framework and governance model, defining corresponding processes, policies and standards for all our providers and outsourced IT services.
• Ensure all centers are 100% compliant with IWG network security blueprint, implementing the corresponding audit tools, security controls and processes to ensure there are no deviations introduced by IWG partners.
• Identify, assess, control and report on cybersecurity risks and incidents (e.g., intrusion analysis, incident handling and response, malware analysis, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing).
• Implement and run continuous monitoring tools to prevent, detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents.

Qualifications/Experience:

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computing Engineering or similar education.

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT Network Infrastructure is required plus strong technical expertise in next-generation firewalls, VPN technologies, load balancers, user proxy, and Intrusion Detection & Prevention systems.
• Strong understanding of data centres and clouds from a networking perspective. Knowledge of the Azure cloud platform is a significant plus.

• Experience defining and implementing security policies, standards & processes, and running network security risk assessments in global companies
• Preference for at least one current recognized security professional certification such as CRISC, CISSP, CISM, CISA or ISO 27001 Auditor
• Demonstrate leadership and adaptability, with willingness to readily take ownership of highly challenging tasks and problems, even beyond initial scope of responsibility.
• Pragmatic, common sense attitude and strong attention to detail required.
• Has worked in a high-growth, fast-paced environment and can deliver results to demanding time scales in an ambiguous environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
