About the Role

This is a critical and senior role in our Procurement team to enable IWG to meet its strategic objectives of growing our network, and improving our profit margin. This position leads information technology procurement activities for 3,500+ locations globally (estimated spend of £60M) across 120+ countries. Ensure Internet Service Providers, IT hardware suppliers, IT installation and break-fix services for new and existing centers are contracted timely and at competitive cost.  This includes continually reviewing and optimizing existing and new IT services & providers, associated contracts, as well as driving cost reduction initiatives.

Where needed this role is engaged in IT supplier escalations, ensuring suppliers meet negotiated SLA’s associated with service, delivery or billing issues and in supplier management. This is a key role accountable for managing relationships with our internal stakeholders, our external partners that we open centers with, and our supplier network to ensure we work collaboratively to improve our commercial performance and deliver against strategic objectives.   

Specific accountabilities

  • Deliver a set of strategies on how we procure key IT categories in the most optimal way in terms of quality, cost and speed to market to achieve industry leading performance, whilst always beating local pricing.
  • Be accountable for the full IT contracting process Globally from initiation thru implementation. This includes negotiating contract terms in collaboration with our Legal team.
  • Actively mitigate risk in collaboration with Legal and relevant internal IWG stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple contract priorities across various countries and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Where needed, run market tenders and/or negotiations to further reduce spend in conjunction with our IT team.
  • Track and report on planned and validate achieved savings targets.
  • Identify and manage relationships with key suppliers, evaluate performance on a regular basis to ensure that we are getting value for money and supplier performance is in line with our expectations.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues at Group, Regional and Country level to ensure Procurement is supporting them to deliver against their business plans.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor degree in Business, Math or similar on related discipline.
  2. 10+ year business experience, with 6+ years working in procurement function on ISP services, IT Hardware and Break-fix Services in a global setting.
  3. Experience managing a set of commercial categories across a region, or a category globally.
  4. Thorough understanding of IT services and procurement best practices.
  5. Strong Business Acumen and analytical skills.
  6. Strong organisation, time and project management skills.
  7. Microsoft Suite Competency: Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
