Job Purpose 

This is an exciting time to join IWG, our business is growing rapidly and we are making significant changes to boost scalability and profitability. The Global Pricing team is at the heart of commercial decision making of IWG. The pricing strategies we devise and execute directly drive volume and earnings and are correspondingly visible in the organization. In tandem with the Pricing Transformation team, you will be helping to redefine the analytical and machine learning methodologies used to optimize our prices for the business. 

 This role reports to the Global Pricing Manager and is concerned with the creation and execution of data-driven pricing strategies that deliver impactful results. The Pricing Team is responsible for pricing related decisions for all product lines across the global network. The immediate team has a great open communication environment and works closely with many group functions. Key Responsibilities 

Price level management 

  • Analysing internal sales performance and external market trends 
  • Translating KPIs to customised pricing approach, and recommending price changes to senior stakeholders across all markets 
  • Keeping track of price change outcomes and responding quickly to unforeseen changes 

Business pricing support 

  • Providing consultative support to the business, including both managed and franchised, on all pricing related matters 
  • Negotiating with senior country management on pricing strategies 
  • Building bespoke pricing solutions for multi-million-dollar corporate deals 

Global performance initiatives  

  • Designing, A/B testing, implementing and managing of global pricing initiatives, new pricing algorithms and methodologies across our markets 
  • Conveying global pricing strategies to senior management 
  • Reporting on test evaluations, sales performance, profitability and next steps 

Price strategy & process development 

  • Using performance analysis to calibrate existing price rules 
  • Supporting the wider team with analysis and recommendations on pricing strategy 
  • Identifying issues with the process and brainstorming solutions 

 Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications 

  • Impressive academic credentials – at least a 2i degree, from an established university (numerical, business disciplines preferred) 
  • Advanced user of the full Microsoft Office 365 suite, especially Excel. 
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken 
  • Previous experience in commercial decision making is a must. You would need to have the ability to influence decision making at all seniority levels and engage with senior stakeholders 
  • Proven ability to undertake projects from initial inception through to final completion 
  • Experience in yield management and/or price optimization is preferred. 
  • Programming language SQL is necessary, other languages e.g. Python,…is a plus
