JOB PURPOSE

This is an exciting time to join IWG. Our business is growing rapidly, and we are making significant changes to boost scalability and profitability. The Inventory Performance team is key component of the commercial decision making. The strategies we devise and execute directly drive volume and earnings and are correspondingly visible in the organization.

You will be reporting directly to the Global Manager of Inventory Performance and working within a highly motivated multi-disciplinary team. We are embarking on a period of transformation using both historic performance and forward-looking simulations to control inventory to optimize revenue.  You will play an integral part in creating and executing evidence-based inventory strategies that deliver tangible results.

The Inventory Performance Team is responsible for inventory related decisions for all product lines across the global network.  The team is centralized and works closely with many Group functions.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Inventory level management

  • Analyzing internal performance KPIs
  • Recommending and executing inventory changes across all products and markets
  • Keeping track of inventory changes and responding quickly to unforeseen impacts
  • Analyzing results of inventory changes and modifying approaches based on findings

Business inventory support

  • Providing consultative support to the business, including Franchisees, on all inventory related matters
  • Negotiating with senior management on inventory strategies
  • Building bespoke inventory reports and tools

Global performance initiatives

  • Designing, implementing, and managing global inventory initiatives and trials
  • Working closely with senior management across multiple functions
  • Reporting on the performance, learnings and next steps

Inventory strategy & process development

  • Using performance analysis to calibrate parameters used for identifying inventory opportunities
  • Supporting the wider team with analysis and recommendations on inventory strategy
  • Identifying issues with the process and brainstorming solutions

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Impressive academic credentials – at least a bachelor’s degree from an established university
    (mathematical, scientific or business disciplines preferred)
  • A minimum of 2 years work experience in a commercial role with an analytical base
  • Advanced user of the full Microsoft Office 365 suite
  • Strong technical skills; especially Excel (advanced formulas, VBA, SQL). Experience with advanced programming language (R, Python, …) is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken
  • Comfortable with senior stakeholder management, including negotiation and expectation management
  • Proven ability to undertake projects from initial inception through to final completion
  • Experience in supply chain optimization, logistics, and/or revenue management is preferred.
