Global Implementation Director

Job Purpose

With our focus on innovation, we have at any time, a long list of initiatives to improve our customer experience and make our locations a great place to work. This role sits between the “Build” team (those who design and build solutions and integrate technologies) and the “Run” team (those who operate our locations and products).  The Deployment Director is responsible to manage a small team of 15 to 20 people and drive efficient and optimized delivery into our worldwide locations of these new services and technology.   This individual will serve as a liaison between the corporate headquarters and the individual centres to ensure a smooth and effective implementation.  Additionally, this role will ensure the smooth transition into the day-to-day support and operational teams

The ideal applicant would ideally have worked in an environment to deploy solutions, equipment and technologies across multi-country / multi-stores, and managed complexities to deliver into many locations

 

 Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize new technology and service initiatives that will drive growth and improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive global implementation plan, including timelines, budgets, and resources required to successfully deploy new initiatives.
  • Plan and schedule deployment timelines and milestones, and track project milestones and deliverables, to demonstrate efficient, coordinated delivery of multiple solutions into each location.
  • Estimate, plan, execute, and administer multiple projects across the full project lifecycle, varying from medium-to-large scale with respect to business impact.
  • Ensure a smooth transition of the new services from the “Build” team into the day-to-day support and operational teams.
  • Act as the primary point of contact during the deployment of all technology and service-related inquiries, concerns, and issues from the stores, and escalate as needed to appropriate parties.
  • Manage a team of project managers and coordinators to ensure the successful execution of implementation plans.
  • Monitor the progress of the initiatives and provide regular updates to stakeholders on the status, risks, and opportunities.
  • Conduct regular assessments of the effectiveness of the approach to implementation / deployment and recommend and action improvements to optimize results.
  • Oversee the enhancement and maintenance of technology-related policies and procedures.
  • Manage vendor relationships to streamline the onsite delivery of hardware and services.
  • Recommend improvements to established business processes while continuing to deliver high value in execution

 

 Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant project management or operational (leadership/management) experience
  • Competencies typically acquired through a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with an advanced degree or certifications preferred
  • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale projects across both internal and external entities
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to achieve strategic goals.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Solid understanding of technology trends and how they can be applied to business operations.
  • Experience in budget management and financial analysis.
  • Ability to travel internationally occasionally, as needed
