Job Purpose

We are looking for Finance Manager responsible for Statutory and Tax Compliance to manage our local obligations for France plus any additional local requirements.

This is great opportunity to manage one of our biggest countries’ filings and be part of a global organisation and play a key role in a large Finance team. You are a team player, with a hands-on approach.

You can work from home/remotely when appropriate or at one of our 3,400 offices; the working pattern is built around the local statutory and tax timetable. You will support all legal entities of the country and assist with local audits. We need someone who is used to adopting a hands-on approach with good technology skills.

The position is for a full-time employee role.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a global set up which includes shared service centres and group functions focusing on the country specific requirements
  • Build proactive working relationships with the business partners within the organisation
  • Local tax and statutory filings in French Gaap
    • Responsibility to prepare, and manage and execute tasks
    • Review and control data received from business partners
    • Meet deadlines and requirements in a proactive fashion
    • Contact point for authorities and manage inspections/audits
    • Provide relevant support for group tax reporting when required
  • Local and group audits
    • Responsibility to prepare, and manage and ensure completeness  
    • Review and control data received from business partners
    • Meet deadlines and requirements
    • Contact point for auditors
  • Assist with company secretarial activities, specific to the country
  • Undertake a range of other commercial activities as the local country finance representative (i.e. banking, external partner and supplier tasks required onsite or with local language dependencies).

 

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Accounting or Tax Qualification
  • 10 years+ experience, including recent experience in a similar level role (ideally within a multinational business environment)
  • Technically strong, with a working knowledge of French GAAP
  • Proven ability to meet statutory compliance obligations
  • Extensive experience of producing Statutory Accounts and Annual Reports and documents relating to company secretarial requirements
  • Flexible approach, adaptable to change
  • Excellent communication skills – previous experience of working remotely an advantage
  • Self-motivated
  • Fluent in French and English
