About IWG
We’re changing the world of work. We believe that business success is underpinned by the effectiveness of its people. So, we made it our mission to help millions of people have a great day at work – every day. With locations in practically every country, city, town and transport hub, and options ranging from an hour’s coworking to multi-year office space leases, we enable people and businesses to work where, when, and how they want.

Technology in IWG
We’re focused on delivering seamless digital propositions which allow customers to instantly manage their requirements and position IWG as the “Digital First” workspace provider. As early adopters of the latest technologies - whether it be Artificial Intelligence, Office IoT, Data or Cloud Solutions - we create business value and are constantly striving to find new and improved ways to help our customers. Which is why we’re always on the look-out for intelligent, energetic, self-motivated, and curious individuals. We want to bring about a global workspace revolution and want you to help.

The role
IWG is looking for an Enterprise Architect / Application strategist for the enterprise who proactively leads application strategy using architectural design skills, cross-domain knowledge, systems thinking and enterprise-wide strategic “Big Picture” thinking. This would be a key role within the “Transformation” team and would be responsible for establishing core components of IWG´s global transformation roadmap with focus on IT applications.
We require someone who not only has a deep understanding of business strategy, capabilities, and processes, but also has the experience to analyze and build upon enterprise's technical and infrastructural architecture. The architect provides the necessary leadership, analysis, and “road-mapping” to support IWG´s application landscape, ensuring that applications meet future business needs and align with architectural governance and standards. This role will create deliverables for managing the organization's portfolio of "to be" and "as is" landscape, enabling and driving business outcomes and participate in new system selection.

What you’ll need to succeed
This is the perfect role for someone who is adept at working creatively and analytically in high collaboration with a complex “matrix” organization. You will need to be organizationally savvy - comfortable, experienced, and accomplished at working with business leaders, IT leaders and IT development teams alike. You will influence and persuade, facilitating decision-making where needed. You’ll be technologically neutral with an unbiased approach toward technology or vendor choice, but able to quickly comprehend the benefits of new technologies; at the same time maintaining a clear focus on results. You should be intellectually curious with drive, integrity, and the skills to work effectively in a team environment and lead cross-functional teams.
If you’re able to understand long-term and short-term perspectives and translate future-state business capabilities and needs into application architecture landscape & roadmap, we’re keen to hear from you. It will also be critical for this person to have the capability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and non-technical audiences alike, while simultaneously proposing and estimating the financial impacts of the activities

• Translates business strategy into an architectural blueprint to achieve the business objectives and documents application architecture design and analysis work
• Leads the evaluation and analysis of changes to the application portfolio across the group, conducting appraisal, selection and testing of new applications.
