The role

As a Data Engineer for IWG you will

  • Contribute to the development of the data strategy and roadmap
  • Produce and develop integrated end-to-end data solutions
  • Complete assessments to ensure compliance with data protection legislation (ie. GDPR)
  • Advise and support on all aspects of data governance
  • Document models, diagrams to development teams, architecture review board, and technical leadership
  • Be responsible for the development and production support of data integration, automation, and defining pipeline for data integrations
  • Explore and research new technologies and perform POCs as needed
  • Works as part of a wider team of data-oriented professionals that is reporting to the Director of Architecture.

 

What you’ll need to succeed

You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent, a Master's degree in information management or equivalent degree and/or experience would be desired. You have at least 2 years of successful experience working in a data engineering role.

 

Qualifications /Skills / Experience

  • Demonstrable Python and SQL experience
  • Strong experience in utilizing ETL tools
  • Azure Data Factory and SSIS experience
  • Azure ecosystem experience
  • Experience with Azure Data Lake
  • Fluent level of English, both written and spoken
  • Knowledge of other Data and BI tools like Power BI, Tableau
  • Knowledge of other Data and BI tools like Power BI, Qlikview
  • Knowledge of Power BI Paginated reports
