About the role

We are searching for an experienced BI Developer to join our team and play a key role in supporting the business with insights that shape commercial & operational decisions. The ideal candidate should be highly skilled in all aspects of data analytics, including mining, generation, interpretation and visualisation. Additionally, you should be committed to transforming data into readable and goal-driven reports that can help drive the growth & efficiency of the business. In this role you will work closely together with both the Global BI Director and other Data Analysts across a variety of business functions.

Key responsibilities

  • The BI Developer will be responsible for the development, documentation, and distribution of reports. The role requires a solid grasp of both relational and dimensional data sources.  The ideal candidate will have designed and built enterprise-wide QlikView and Power BI reporting solutions. 
  • Tasks will also involve the day-to-day monitoring and maintenance of components that make up the data warehouse and reporting infrastructure.
  • The candidate will also be required to prepare ad hoc data requests, analyse report results to ensure their accuracy and draw out business insights.
  • The role requires business analysis experience, strict data governance and working to best practices to improve overall quality and speed-of-delivery
  • Day to day, the role will entail:
    • Ongoing maintenance and development of reporting platform
    • Acquiring data from primary and secondary data sources through running, maintaining and developing SQL queries
    • Ensuring quality, accuracy and consistency of data in our reporting platform
    • Interpreting data and analysing results using statistical techniques
    • Developing and implementing improvements that drive excellence in the functionality and data structure of our reporting platform
    • Processing, designing and presenting data in the form of management reports and dashboards to help the business make better business decisions
    • Defining, measuring, and tracking business performance against a set of KPIs
    • Responding to ad hoc data requests, analysing report results to ensure their accuracy and drawing out business insights

  • Strong knowledge of QlikView server architecture and building QVDs and QVWs applying business rules and data validations
  • Expert knowledge of SQL Server, T-SQL, with the ability to write complex yet efficient SQL queries and stored procedures
  • Proficient in QMC to monitor QlikView server process to ensure that they continue to run in the most efficient manner and perform QlikView system administration tasks as required
  • Experience of building Power BI reports and working with Microsoft Azure Power Platform using PowerApps and PowerAutomate
  • Proficient in the use of Excel, e.g. use of Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.
  • Ability to drive process excellence and change
  • Solid organisational skills, ability to prioritise and multi-task in a demanding environment
  • Able to optimise and improve automation of data processes
  • Fluent in English


  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role using SQL, QlikView, and Azure Power Platform
  • A bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance or a related field of study
  • Previous exposure to Microsoft Dynamics CRM and an understanding of the Microsoft DataVerse
  • Comfortable with business analysis and requirement gathering
  • Able to demonstrate reports to internal business users; promote benefits of BI, and encourage usage across departments
  • Previous experience in a large global corporate is a plus
