Job Title – Data Engineer

Department: Data Analytics Operations (Data Engineering Team)

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with relevant experience to support the development, maintenance, and optimization of IWG’s data platforms. This role will work closely with analytics, BI, and business teams to ensure reliable, high-quality data that supports reporting, insights, and strategic initiatives across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Build, maintain, and enhance ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.
• Develop and optimize data models for reporting and analytical use cases.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability through validation and monitoring.
• Support data warehouse and data lake solutions used by BI and analytics teams.
• Troubleshoot data issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Analysts, Developers, Operations and Data Engineers across teams.
• Create and maintain technical documentations for data pipelines, process and models.
• Follow best practices for data security and compliance.

Required skills and experience:

• Graduate of bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information
  Technology, Information systems, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Data engineer, BI engineer, Software Engineer or similar role.
• Strong SQL skills; Can understand, write and execute complex queries, performance tuning, data transformation and data validation.
• Experience in Databricks and Python/PySpark.
• Knowledgeable of job scheduling, workflows, and clusters in Databricks.
• Familiarity and experience working with Delta Lake, data lake and data warehouse.
• Exposure to Azure cloud platforms. (AWS / GCP is acceptable).

Nice to have:

• Experience with other azure resources (ADLS, Synapse, Data Factory, Logic apps etc.)
• Familiarity with Power BI, QlikView or other BI Tools.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git and CI/CD pipelines.
